Smartphone market share 1st quarter 2010 - Android before Windows Mobile


The market research firm Gartner published new numbers for the 1st quarter 2010 for the distribution of the Smartphone market, Googles Android Windows Mobile left for the first time behind itself and on the 4th place advanced.

In the 1st quarter 2009 Android lay still at 1,6% and Windows Mobile with 10,2%, in the 1st quarter 2010 shifted conditions on 9,6% for Android and 6.8% for Windows Mobile.
Also Apple could with that iPhone OS of 10,5% to 15,4% clearly add, Android however further in such a way develop it the iPhone OS in the 1st quarter 2011 would have overhauled.
Nokia and RIM adhere further to the front positions and sell still most devices, with falling market share.
According to refining he analyst Carolina Milanesi in the 1st quarter 2010 with 54.3 million as much Smartphones were not sold as since 2006 no more.
